Yesterday's tennis tourney was definitely the highlight of the off-days here in Fiji. It's a competitive crew here, and a tennis competition is exactly what they needed to stay engaged in the competition that still exists in the Globe Pro Fiji. Roy Powers and Freddy P looked really good from the first match of the day. They maintained their momentum all the way through to the final match up with Slater and the only Brazilian competitor in the tournament, Heitor Alves. Comedic relief came from the Hawaiians, but the backhand drop shots of Slater and Alves both proved too be the winning combo. $200 bucks on the bar for the boys. The boys on Namotu had an afternoon session out at Wilkes. TB, Yadin and Steads took care of the day's surfing for the whole tour. Today is settling into another day of easy living. Cloudbreak this morning is looking pretty clean. We expected a change in the winds today, and that looks like it's holding true to forecast. Still nothing more than 3 feet, but it's clean and the boys are out there. Pancho, Bobby, Mick, Taj, Yadin, Freddy and CJ put in time for the early. Fishing is on tap for Roseman, Servais and Damien. Lets see what they get, and with any luck we'll be eating Sashimi at happy hour. Vinaka, and check back tomorrow for the days Wha' Happ'n.
