.........we're back!

Globe Pro Fiji ready to roll in '08 After missing in 2007, the Globe Pro Fiji is due to roll again in 2008 as the shining star in the ASP world championship world surfing tour.

Globe's VP Global Marketing Michael Marckx said that planning was well advanced to once again run a stellar event off the Fijian islands off Tavarua and Namotu between 23 May and 6 June 2008.

We first conducted the Globe Pro Fiji in 2005 and that year it was voted by the competitors on the tour as the best event in the world, - Michael said. With the incredibly perfect point break waves of Cloudbreak and Restaurants, this is an event that stands out on the "dream tour" as the surfers favourite.

Globe is stoked to be able to once again run this event and we have been extremely encouraged with the high level of support we have received from the ASP, everybody involved in Fiji and from the global community of surfers who understand the importance of this event.

The Globe Pro Fiji 2008 promises to be better than ever and with a live webcast of all the action, nightly global TV news feeds, a special TV production and wide range of print media in attendance, this will be an event for the world to watch.
