Long-touted as one of the world's most dynamic free surfers, Ventura's Dane Reynolds will enter into his rookie season on the ASP World Tour in 2008. Although late to enter the sport of surfing (Reynolds lived inland until his family moved to Ventura at age 10), the prodigious young natural-footer honed his phenomenal talent in the punchy beachbreaks of Oxnard and the peeling pointbreaks of Ventura and Santa Barbara. After a prestigious amateur career, Reynolds went on a global, free surfing pilgrimage that was recorded for his signature film, Dane Reynolds: First Chapter, and eventually noted as one of the most complete exhibitions of progressive surfing in history.

One year after the completion of First Chapter, Reynolds began his campaign on the ASP WQS finishing 2nd behind Jordy Smith and qualifying for the ASP World Tour in 2008. Having already competed in a number of ASP World Tour events as a wildcard, look for Reynolds to apply both his experience and phenomenal talent to the world's best waves this season.
