Bio
From the hollowed surf of Capbreton, France came the clean, professional style of genuine class act Miky Picon. One of the most successful French competitors, Picon broke out onto the international surf scene in 2006 as only the third European to qualify for the World Tour. He struggled during his first year on the ASP and failed to re-qualify for 2007, but that didn't keep him from concentrating on his improvement and powering through another year on the WQS circuit. Picon is fast but controlled, good under pressure and can hold his own in the water. He's eager for his surfing to progress, and knew coming into the 2007 season that if he'd qualified once, he could do it again and he did - to qualify for 2008.
With a wildcard entry to the 2007 Rip Curl Pro in Hossegor, France, Picon made it apparent that he wasn't messing around, having easily advanced to the quarterfinals. Able to put the past behind him, buckle down and focus on his surfing, Picon is in a great position to carve his way to the top.
